Location: Carmel by the Sea, California

Our client purchased the building with the intent of refreshing it to fit his new concept. However, once select demolition began, the existing building proved too structurally deficient to be reimagined. We ended up tearing down the old structure and building back new. The new building was intentionally designed to blend in with the quaint surroundings, maintain its cottage coziness and provide a warm back drop to the chef driven restaurant. A large operable window in front allows the energy of the restaurant to be experienced from the sidewalk and a new covered patio enhances the connection between the indoor and outdoor environments.
